2019 Funding Recipients – HOME Program Down Payment Assistance
Eight responses to MHC’s Request for Qualifications (RFQs) were received from East Central Planning & Development District, Hope Federal Credit Union, I3 Lending, Mississippi Faith Based Coalition, Mississippi Housing Initiative, Mississippi Housing Partnership, Renaissance Community Loan Fund and Voice of Calvary Ministries.
Applicants were scored on ten criteria. Significant weight was given to demonstrated staff capacity and experience with the HOME Program and with requirements of the HUD Housing Counseling program. Respondents were required to offer a plan for assisting persons with disabilities to become homeowners.
A minimum score of 75 on a 100 point scale was required for eligibility. Five applicants scored at or above the minimum score requirement. The three applicants selected to carry out the work scored 90 or above.
