SUBJECT: Amendment: 2023 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) Qualified Zip Code

This bulletin serves to inform of a proposed amendment to the Mississippi Home Corporation’s (MHC) 2023 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) to revise the Qualified Zip Code (QZC) point item. The amendment will be presented to the MHC Board at the February 8th meeting with a Public Hearing to follow on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 2:30 pm. The Public Hearing will be held in the Board Room at MHC’s office, 735 Riverside Drive, Jackson, MS 39202.

The proposed amendment will remove Acquisition/Rehabilitation properties from the Qualified Zip Code data set. The QCZ online mapping layer will be modified to present zip codes that have not had a New Construction Tax Credit Development funded or placed-in- service for the previous five (5) years of the current Tax Credit Cycle.

The Qualified Zip Code point item is available for both Acquisition/Rehab and New Construction applications.
