EXTENSION OF SINGLE AUDIT REPORTING PACKAGE
PROGRAM BULLETIN #20-002

TO: Recipients and Subrecipients of HUD Funds Awarded By MHC-Local Units of Government, Non-Profit & Developers

FROM: MHC /Federal Programs

SUBJECT: Extension of Single Audit Reporting Package

DATE: March 24, 2020

The Department of Housing and Urban Development has announced an extension of the completion and submission of the Single Audit Reporting package, required by Subpart F of 2 CFR 200.501, Audit Requirements to six (6) months beyond the normal due date. Recipients and Subrecipients that have not filed required single audits with the Federal Audit Clearinghouse as of the date of March 9, 2020, (release of notice) and fiscal year-ends through June 20, 2020, are granted an extension in completing and submitting Single Audits to MHC.

This extension does not require individual recipients and sub-recipients to seek approval for the extension by MHC; however, documentation of the reason for the delayed filing must be maintained. Recipients and sub-recipients taking advantage of this extension would still qualify as a “low-risk auditee” under the criteria of 2 CFR § 200.520 (a)-Criteria for a low-risk auditee.
