Notice of Publication on Proposed Issuance of Bonds
NOTICE OF PUBLICATION ON PROPOSED ISSUANCE OF BONDS
The Mississippi Home Corporation (the “Corporation”) proposes to issue not to exceed $90,000,000 aggregate principal amount of Mississippi Home Corporation Single Family Mortgage Revenue Bonds, Series 2020A (Non-AMT) (the “Bonds”), in order to provide funds for the purpose of (a) financing the acquisition of mortgage-backed securities backed by mortgage loans on residential housing units within the State, made to qualified persons and families and (b) financing the refunding of certain prior bonds of the Corporation, as set forth in the 2020A Series Resolution to be considered by the Board of the Corporation at a meeting to be held on February 12, 2020, and as authorized by the General Bond Resolution adopted by the Board of the Corporation on July 15, 2009.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation will hold a public hearing at 735 Riverside Drive, Jackson, Mississippi 39202, on January 31, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. at which time any person may be heard, either orally or in writing, regarding the sale and issuance of the Bonds and the use of the proceeds thereof. Written statements not presented at the hearing should be directed to the Corporation at the above address on or before 9:00 a.m. on January 31, 2020.
The notice is being published in accordance with the applicable public notice requirements of Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), Treasury Regulation Section 5f.103-2(f), and other applicable regulations promulgated under the Code. All affected taxpayers, property owners and citizens of the State of Mississippi are invited to attend said hearing and present comments and discussion concerning the proposed sale and issuance of the Bonds and the use of the proceeds thereof.
